Eltam is one of three industrial companies owned by Kibbutz Ein Hashofet. Kibbutz Ein Hashofet is located in the northern part of Israel, 90 km north of the central metropolis Tel-Aviv and approximately 30 km from the port town Haifa.

Kibbutz Ein Hashofet was settled in 1937 and like other kibbutzim played an important role in the establishment of the State of Israel. Initially, the small communal society relied on agriculture for its livelihood. Today, the Kibbutz is a strong and successful group that owns, manages and operates three profitable industrial companies.

Mivrag Ltd., the pioneer of Ein Hashofet's industries, was established in 1950. The Company produces a wide range of metal parts, bolts and unique metal accessories in cold forming technology.

Eltam Ein Hashofet Ltd. was established in 1967 as 'Ein Hashofet Electrical Accessories'. The initial purpose was to provide employment for the elderly members of the community. Today, Eltam plays a major role in the international market for lighting accessories and metal components

MAG Ltd., the newest member of the conglomerate, is a relatively young company that focuses on the production of quality metal accessories for the automotive industry. In addition to the production facility located at Kibbutz Ein Hashofet, the company has recently established a daughter company in Tennessee, USA that supplies components to General Motors'.
