Outdoor Applications:
Outdoor lighting applications have relied on HID lamps for many years. These include applications such as: flood lights, street lights, gas stations, parking lots, harbor lighting, parks and playfields all of which are examples of the intuitive HID lamps market.
DALI-based-systems bring this to an even higher standard, and answer the need to control each and every light point, the harvesting of intelligent reports and alerts and utilizing the automatic schedulers and many other valuable features.

The Solution - Whenever it is possible to apply two extra wires for the DALI communication – the system then enjoys all the great benefits of the DALI.

This includes advantages such as:
• Reliable data transfer
• Ease of integration and commissioning
• High compatibility with other DALI components
All of these, are applicable without needing complex LON or RF nodes, which are often the popular solutions in outdoor and streetlight applications.

Indoor Applications:
HID lamps (especially MH lamps) are the most ideal for indoor applications. A combination of - Low Frequency Square Wave form, low SPR, low losses, steady output wattage – makes the EHIDALI® the perfect match for indoor applications.

The ONSiTE ™ With the ONSiTE™ web based management system, all of the light points can be dimmed and their condition can be assessed remotely in order to plan the maintenance scheduling in advance.

Electricity Cabinet Controllers:
A - Extra Wired Outdoor - DALink™ controller for twisted-pair wires for communication.
B - Power-line/RF based - EHIDALI® with external node facilitates the communication.

Last Mile:
The EHIDALI® ballast is the reliable and durable electronic EHIDALI® ballast. The EHIDALI® enables two-way digital communication from the ballasts to various DALI devices such as the DALI controllers, Sensors, Control panels, RF-nodes and LON-nodes.

1. Compatibility: 
The EHIDALI® Ballasts are compatible with any approved DALI device which complies with the IEC 62386 standard. They may also be integrated with Building Management Systems.

2. Communication Wiring:
The maximum line length is 300 meters between the furthest DALI components. This can be extended up to 600 meters and even more by using a DALI amplifier.

3. Full Control on Various Parameters:
This allows for customizable fade rates, dim levels, groups and scenes.

4. Full Monitoring:
Advanced Feedbacks can be obtained on operating conditions, such as operating hours, light-level or failed lamps as well as extended features like lamp voltage and ballast temperature.

5. Addressability:
Individual addressability allows a user to control and to dim any particular ballast or groups of ballasts at one time.

6. Network Scope:
The number of individual addresses in the DALI standard is 64 devices, with the EHIDALI® this number may be increased to two DALI Channels - 128 units.

7. Dynamic:
Flexibility in ballasts’ grouping leaves no need to re-wire ballasts when groups need to be changed.

8. Scalability:
The system is scalable and can be expanded at any time when the user needs to make changes without the need for costly re-wiring.

9. System Expansion: 
Additional ballasts may be added to the various groups with ease.

10. Future Proof:
 The EHIDALI® Firmware may be updated or upgraded from the DALI terminals. A whole line of ballasts may be remotely upgraded even after installation.

The EHIDALI® brings great advantages specially designed for street lights:

1. Extensive Protocol (optional):
Advanced control and monitoring commands which are compliant with part 102 of the DALI standard. These extensive commands are open and presented to all technological partners of Eltam.

2. LonWorks® - DALI Devices: 
The ballast is fully compliant with any standard DALI controller and device in addition to all LonMarks®-DALI nodes available in the market.

3. Extremely Low Communication Noise Mechanism: 
Years of working with various LON-nodes or RF-nodes in the market have enabled the EHIDALI® to be equipped with one of lowest communication interferer modules.

4. Up-to-date and future proof: 
Ballast firmware can be upgraded remotely through the DALI terminals in order to maintain its advanced technological features.
